GS24 Travel and accomodation

Overview

The GS24 in-person event will be small and therefore the Gender Summit team have not entered into specific agreements in relation to travel and accomodation.

The information below is therefore provided as a courtesy, but the team are unable to provide specific assistance or recommendations.

Venue

The event is being held at:

University of Ottawa, Desmarais Building Room 4101, 55 Laurier Avenue East, Ottawa, Ontario K1N 6N5

Travel

Air

Air travel to Ottawa is possible via any of the major Canadian carriers:

• Air Canada
• Westjet
• porter

Rail

Rail travel to Ottawa is possible using VIA Rail Canada

Road (Parking)

Parking is available (but expensive) in the Desmarais building where the event is taking place.

Otherwise, parking is available nearby at the Rideau Centre or Les Suites Hotel, near the intersection of Nicholas and Daly streets.

There are a large number of hotels to choose from in Ottawa dependent on preference and budget, this includes major names such as:
