McGregor, MD MA FACEP is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Alpert Medical School of Brown University, the Co-Founder and Director for the Division and Fellowship of Sex and Gender in Emergency Medicine (SGEM) at Brown University’s Department of Emergency Medicine. Dr. McGregor’s research focus is on the effects that sex and gender have on emergent conditions and has been an international activist with such talks as "Why Medicine Often Has Dangerous Side Effects For Women” on TED.com. Dr. McGregor is the lead editor for the medical textbook Sex and Gender in Acute Care Medicine, Cambridge University Press.
