Dr Narcrisha Norman is a Research Associate at Howard University where she conducts research in cryogenics and aerodynamics related projects.  Dr Norman obtained her PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Old Dominion University (ODU).  She obtained her MS and BS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC).  She is a practicing entrepreneur, inventor and a former United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) turbo machine patent examiner.

During her time at Howard University Dr Norman’s research has led to 2 patent applications and several paper submissions for peer review.  Prior to her position at Howard University she held various positions in the US federal government and in academia, including her appointment as a Program Specialist for the East Asia and Pacific Summer Institutes (EAPSI) program at the National Science Foundation in the Office of International Science and Engineering.  Dr Norman a Veteran of the US Army, has had the honor of being awarded a Presidential Volunteer Service Award (PVSA), was a Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (ILSAMP) Fellowship recipient, a NASA Student Ambassador and a Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Finalist.
