Cornelia Quennet-Thielen is State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research since 2008. Cornelia Quennet-Thielen served as Deputy Head of the Office of the German Federal President and was the President’s senior advisor on domestic policy and constitutional law (2004 – 2008). She held different positions in the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (1987 – 2004). Quennet-Thielen started her career in the federal state of Rhinland-Palatinate as a judge and in the Ministry for Environment and Health. Cornelia Quennet-Thielen studied law in Freiburg and Trier; she is alumna of the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes and a World Fellow of Yale University, USA.
